Khoi 87 Restaurant & Cooking Class

Amazing Vietnamese food and such a lovely atmosphere! The lady boss is incredibly kind and welcoming. You can really feel the love she puts into everything. One of my favorite spots, hands down!

We were staying at the Reinassance Hoi An, and ate our lunches there consequtively for 3 days. The food was THAT good. Stand out dishes include the seafood pancake, the mushroom pancake, fried spring rolls, morning glory with garlic, bahn mi, cao lau (hoi an noodles) and coconut coffee. The food tasted homely, comforting. You can tell they were prepared with lots of love, care and pride. We also saw a cooking class happening and it looked (and smelled) amazing. A must-visit!

If you are staying at any of the nearby resorts in Hoi An, please do yourself a favor and eat at Khoi! We had many delicious meals in Hanoi and Ninh Binh, and the food at Khoi was the best we had hands down. The ingredients are so fresh, but what’s more is that Than and her family are so hospitable and lovely, making every meal feel special. I also recommend taking the cooking class. You get to visit the local market and farm and see all the fresh produce and taste the freshly grown herbs. Afterwards, Than teaches a hands on cooking class - so much fun and so delicious, as you get to eat everything you prepare and go home with 4 incredible recipes. This was a highlight of our stay!

Thanh’s cooking class (just the 4 of us as a family) was a highlight of our trip. After popping in at the local organic veggie farm followed by the local market to buy all the fresh ingredients, we cooked it all up and made delicious meals that we can (hopefully) replicate at home. A very authentic experience and taste sensation!

We’ve been coming to Khói Restaurant & Cooking Class every day since staying at the hotel across the street, and it’s been a highlight of our trip. The food is consistently great, with a good variety of dishes, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The restaurant is family-run by a lovely husband and wife, who go out of their way to make you feel at home. We also did their cooking class, which was well worth it—fun, hands-on, and a great way to learn more about the local cuisine. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Hoi An!

Thanh was knowledgable and really friendly. The tour to the organic food village and shopping at the local market was amazing- despite the heat. We had a fantastic experience here. We were staying at The Renaissance and this was a breathe of fresh air. Amazing and well prepared food from a well trained chef who offers cooking lessons and grows many of the herbs in site. The best mojito l have found in all of Hoi An too.

I had no appetite and was feeling unwell due to the heat and the unfamiliar Vietnamese food. However, the food at this restaurant was so delicious that it cheered me up. I'm Japanese, but I thought it was very delicious. If you visit Hoi An, please come here.
